Creating Realistic Joint Training For Mission Success In The Asymmetric Combat Environment

“Collective and collaborative missions on various levels grow more important by the day – and the various ways of training and preparing for them are coming together by and large. Apart from international, interagency and interdisciplinary integration, today’s joint training often involves concurrent live, virtual and constructive elements. In some cases, even operational ones”
General James Mattis

Soldiers need to train like they will fight. So that, when the time comes, they'll fight like they've trained, devoid of hesitation. They're relentlessly focused on their mission, and so are we.

At Joint Simulation and Training 2010 you will hear about training and simulation technologies, as well as live training, from major defence, military and high-tech industry stakeholders.

Our goal: To expose you to a wealth of knowledge and experience from the greatest minds in simulation and joint training field.

Conference themes and sessions include:

  • The 21st century is seeing more international assignments of joint forces operations, Live-Virtual-Constructive integration and interoperability now plays a major role in training simulations.
  • Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) have surfaced as the weapon of choice in asymmetric warfare waged against joint forces over recent years. IEDs are becoming ever more sophisticated and in many cases fatally effective. In reaction, joint forces have developed enhanced Counter-IED (C-IED) training capabilities.
  • Increased training effectiveness for less risk, time and cost through leveraging real benefit from human factors, in particular the need to collaborate and share data, models and practice.
  • An increased emphasis on integrating live training with advanced technologies, providing far greater scope for soldiers to be prepared for the unexpected.

Panel discussion:

  • Recent world economic events have constrained military budgets beyond even the most pessimistic forecast. In this environment, training is often the area that suffers from lack of investment; yet, as operational challenges increase, effective training is more important than ever. The panel discussion will examine the challenges and potential solutions.
